Best Factions in XDefiant

XDefiant is a title that not only brings with it the fast-paced action reminiscent of older Call of Duty titles but also features a hero-based twist to shake things up. This makes for an experience that players have been praising for its rewarding gameplay and much more. That said, the game features many different weapons and abilities that form its classes. To highlight some of the best of the best, enjoy our picks for the Best Classes in XDefiant.

5. Phantoms

The Phantoms faction

We are kicking off today's list of the best classes in XDefiant with the Phantoms. The Phantoms are pulled from the time-honored Ghost Recon franchise, making them rather formidable in battle. These elite soldiers are equipped with several different abilities that can be applied to a number of situations players may find themselves in. On the whole, the class is best well-suited for defensive strategies and situations. This is something that is not only reflected in their kit but also in their style of gameplay.

In terms of the abilities available to this class, as alluded to above, the class features many defensive options that help shield both the player themselves, as well as their teammates. The abilities are as follows, Hardened, which boosts the player's base health. Mag Barrier, which, as the name implies, pulls up a barrier to shield you from enemies. A Blitz Shield, which is self-explanatory, and finally, the Aegis, which allows players to be shielded while utilizing a plasma shotgun. All in all, this class is pretty solid and one of the best classes in XDefiant.

4. DeadSec

DeadSec faction

We are moving right along with our next entry. Here, we have DeadSec from the Tom Clancy's Watch Dogs franchise. DeadSec is all about subterfuge and disruption. These characters have access to abilities that more so impede your opponents rather than do anything positive for the player directly. That said, this certainly helps when the enemy team is steamrolling your team, for sure. The abilities are more disruption-based and allow the player to shake their opponents, making them easier to eliminate.

One of the abilities that can be absolute game-changers for this class is its SpiderBot, which latches onto enemies, effectively stunning them. Another great ability that the class has access to is the Hijack ability, this ability allows players to temporarily steal the abilities of their opponents, which can become handy in a pinch. Lockout simply disables the enemy HUD, which can be useful due to the enemy's reliance on their minimap. This ability also shuts down enemy abilities. Finally, there is the Fabircator, which allows players to duplicate deployable. In short, DeadSec is one of the best classes in XDefiant.

3. Echelon

Echelon faction

Now comes the time to cover one of the more famous and stealthy classes in the game. Here, we have Echelon. Gaining fame through the Splinter Cell franchise, these characters operate in the shadows to great effect. This can be seen reflected in the abilities that they have available to them in XDefiant. These abilities often specialize in allowing the player to maneuver throughout the map undetected. This makes this class fantastic for those who wish to remain off of the enemy's radar.

The abilities for this class are as follows. The Low Profile ability allows players to not appear on enemy radar, which is essential when trying to keep hidden as long as possible. Next up is perhaps their most practical and powerful ability, the Intel Suit. This Intel Suit allows players to detect enemy locations on the go. To aid with this, this class also has the Digital Ghillie Suit ability, allowing them to turn invisible temporarily. And, to round out this entry, there is the Sonar Goggles ability, which allows players to track enemies more effectively.

2. Cleaners

Cleaners faction

Next up on our list, here we have the Cleaners from the Tom Clancy's The Division franchise. This class focuses on the cleansing aspect of fire in order to destroy their opponents. One of the more offensive classes in the game, the Cleaners have access to abilities that can greatly shift the tide of battle, to say the least. For starters, there is the Incendiary Bombs, which allow this class to cut off particular areas of the map in flames. In addition to this, there is a drone that effectively accomplishes the same thing while retaining mobility.

Next up, there is the Firebomb ability, which allows players to throw Molotov cocktails at their opponents. And finally, is the class's most flashy ability, The Purifier. This weapon is a massive flame thrower that can easily wipe out entire teams if given the chance. To close, this class is effective when used offensively, making it one of the more popular, and best classes in XDefiant. Depending on how it is used, this class can have an incredible effect on the outcome of any tense XDefiant match.

1. Libertad

Libertad faction

Finally, for our last entry, here we have the Libertad. The Libertad is a class pulled from the Far Cry franchise. They focus on support-based healing abilities that make them great for teamplay or even offensive play in a pinch. The abilities that this class has access to are rather varied and feature many ways for the player to tweak their playstyle to their or their team's needs. For starters, there is the BioVida Boost. This effectively acts as a quick heal for anyone in the surrounding area. Then there is the El Remedio, which is more of an AoE-focused healing ability.

In addition, the class has access to focused abilities that allow the player to control where they heal. This ensures that players can turn the tides of battle in their own way. The Medico Supremo ability allows players not only to boost their healing ability but also to heal allies over time. This is in contrast to the slower-acting but more readily available Espiritu de Libertad. This ability ensures that players are healed on a more consistent level, as the cooldown for this ability is significantly shorter. In closing, the Libertad is a force to be reckoned with, and one of the best classes in XDefiant.
